Born in Dominican Republic and raised in sunny Miami, FL, Marlon is a proud Afro-Latina performer and explorer in the arts & humanities. She has music and movement in her bones.

Her first moves were made in the crib before she could even walk — or at least that’s what her mother tells her. She learned to dance Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata with her father at their big family gatherings—and she’s been moving ever since.

Over the last decade Marlon has worked extensively with PILOBOLUS, touring their Shadowland productions and repertory shows domestically & internationally. During the company’s 50th Anniversary tour she had the distinct pleasure of performing classic works such as Day Two, Untitled, and Megawatt. She is especially grateful to have enjoyed two seasons at The Joyce Theater in 2023 and 2024, performing many audience favorites such as Symbiosis, Sweet Purgatory, and Rushes. She played a key role in creating Pilobolus’ first women’s duet in over a decade, Bloodlines, and is honored to have performed it on the Joyce stage for it’s NYC premiere.

Marlon was thrilled to make her broadway debut in the 2020 revival of WEST SIDE STORY, directed by Ivo von Hove and choreographed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Additional credits include the original musical ¡HAVANA!, created by award-winning broadway director/choreographer Warren Carlyle for Norwegian Creative Studios, and the interactive SPEAKEASY theatrical cocktail experience created by director Holly-Anne Palmer.

Additional credits include working with NYC-based independent choreographers and companies, as well as dance & aerial performances with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

Marlon’s early training in classical ballet & modern techniques unfolded at New World School of the Arts under the leadership of Daniel Lewis. She rounded out her training with jazz and other popular movement styles with the Miami Dance Project, under the mentorship of Barbara Delgado Acosta.

Marlon graduated from NYU’s Tisch school of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance & Choreography, and a minor in Media, Culture, and Communication.

She received her 200-hr Yoga Teacher Certification under the tutelage of long-time teacher Tara Marie Perri in NYC, and explored a year long Buddhist Studies program with Ethan Nichtern. Mindfulness practice and contemplative teachings are an ongoing source of grounding and inspiration in her life and work.

Marlon is a bilingual English and Spanish speaker, and adores good conversation in any language. Her professional experiences in hospitality, wellness, and administration have stretched her organization and people skills in additional directions.

Marlon continues to work across different sectors of the performing arts industry, and seeks inspiring communication & connection wherever she goes. She is guided by the core values of honesty, openness, communication, integrity, creativity, and rigor.
